Description:
This spindle square is a direct-to-vise trimming tool, offers accuracy, convenience and significant time saving
with the common shop task trimming the head of a vertical milling machine. This model is inch measurement
with measuring range 0-0.5’’, and graduation 0.0005’’, dial reading 0-50.
It can be used to tram on multiple vise sizes, and machines such as your mill, drill press, sine bar and lathe.
You can use any indicator with a 3/8 stem so you can install a brand or resolution of your preference.
The hardware will never rust and shouldn’t damage your indicator unless you over-torque the thumbscrew.

Precautions:
1. After setting the spindle square indicators to “0” on a surface plate, place the Spindle Square into the collet of the milling machine
and bring the head down to the table until both indicator needles have rotated approximately one full rotation.
2. The needles do not need to point in the same direction. Identical numerical readings, not the needle positions, indicate squareness.
3. To tram the milling machine, adjust the machine per normal procedures until both indicators read the same numerical value.
4. After setting the X-axis, repeat the same procedure with the Y-axis.
